Hello friends and fans of S.P.I.L.L. !!


I hope you'll forgive me for taking a few SPILL-free days to collect my thoughts and to calculate the total raised from the benefit on Thursday at the Bell House!!  It was such an amazing night and I hope everyone had as much fun as I did!! Before I disclose the final figure, I must show my appreciation to all involved:...it's a long list so bear with me:)

Thank all of you who attended the SPILL event!!! You helped us raise a bunch of money by paying the entry fee, eating our food, and by taking a chance on our raffle!! Thank you so much for being there and supporting a great cause!

Thanks to everyone who submitted pre-event donations through pay pal!! Without your donations I would have never been able to get the ball rolling and NONE of this would have been possible!  I did not have a corporate funding for pre-event expenses and I cannot thank you guys enough for giving to the cause and enabling me organize a well-respected, and widely-supported event!  


Of course thank you again to all of the bands that played...DELUKA, ARPLINE, PAUL and the PATIENTS, DIEHARD, BROTHERS, FANCY COLORS...and thank you to ERIKA SPRING for DJing! 
I know I speak for everyone who attended, in saying...

Soooo, the final figure...
I am so thrilled to announce that we were able to raise a little over $1,500.oo after all event expenses!! This is AMAZING considering the fact that we raised this sum purely through donations and event sales, without any corporate financial funding or non-profit aid!  I am so proud to be able to hand over $750 EACH to the non-profit organizations

On a personal note, I can't tell you how much it means to me that we were all able to band together for such a worthy cause. Although I am proud of the $ we raised, it's your display of compassion and support that really counts.  I urge you to please please continue to show your support for those people and animals affected by the BP oil spill.  The devastating effects of this tragedy will linger beyond our lifetime on this earth and will forever change the beloved Gulf Coast and surrounding areas, to a degree we cannot yet fathom.  

Please continue to support those that need our help, NOW and in the FUTURE!!
